The University of Cambridge are running a one-day seminar at Cambridge Judge Business School to think about some of the issues universities and wider partners in the ecosystems face in supporting social entrepreneurs.


Now in their 5th year, the SEE Changemakers Recognition Awards are the only comprehensive awards highlighting the achievements of social entrepreneurs originating at universities and the teams and institutions who support them. Read on to learn more about those pioneering social innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders across the Higher Education Sector and those excelling in their innovative support and partnership development to embed support to catalyse social change.


Tomorrow the second conference as part of the SEE Changemakers series takes place led by OSEP in Oxford entitled 'Breaking Barriers - Making Connections'. Sessions and the Recognition Awards this year have international element with many international delegates attending to share learning with peers supporting social innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership across the Higher Education sector. The Global Social Entrepreneurship Network is leading a session to highlight it's work and that of it's members linked to universities, here is what you can expect....


HEFCE have commissioned a new piece of research to look at the overarching question ‘To what extent does the Higher Education Sector in England have the capacity to support social entrepreneurship?’ This research will look at the assets, expertise, track record, impact, challenges and future opportunities regarding universities and their support of social entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders. A range of activities will be provided to seek to address this this question, using various methods to engage diverse stake holders and a summary report will be produced in the autumn later this year. Now in their 5th Year we are pleased to announce the call for applications for this year’s SEE Changemakers Recognition Awards 2017, supported by UnLtd.

With several categories and a range of influential judges to gain recognition and share insight with - please make time to nominate your university, colleagues and social ventures you are supporting this year. Deadline for nominations is 12th June and winners will be announced at the SEE Changemaker conference led by OSEP in Oxford on 28th June.
